Connect a Telegram bot to xiantong

Telegram integration uses the standard Bot API through a bot token created with @BotFather. You chat with your own bot, and the bot drives a xiantong session.

Setup#

1. Create a bot with /newbot in BotFather.
2. Copy the bot token.
3. Open Settings → Messaging in xiantong.
4. Paste the token, test it, then save.

First Conversation#

Send /new to the bot to create and bind a session. Type normally after binding.

Attachments#

Photos, documents, voice, video, and audio can be forwarded to the session. The attachment limit is 20 MB.

Access Control#

Telegram workspaces use owner-only access by default. Additional users can be approved from Settings → Messaging → Pending requests.
